Getting More Out of Life

I consider the sales to be the greatest profession in the world. That’s because you always have the opportunity to earn more money faster than any other profession.

For example, a pharmacist looking to double their income could take a page out of the “Breaking Bad” TV show and open a meth lab on the side. And, no. I don't advise doing this, even though the show is one of my favorites.

Get More

If you're in sales, it usually means you’re on some type of variable commission plan and then it's often only you that's holding you back from doubling, tripling or quadrupling your income.

The goal of this blog post is to show you the way to “Get More” out of any and all of your priorities in life.

Financial freedom is critical to all of us. And according to AARP, the five top regrets of the dying are:

  1. Not having the courage to live a life true to themselves, not the life others expected of them

  2. Not working so hard

  3. Not having the courage to express their feelings

  4. Not staying in touch with friends

  5. Not allowing themselves to be happier

Given the choice, we'd all like to tackle the fifth regret, right?

Often the thing standing in the way of achieving that goal of happiness is, time. It’s something we are all guilty of wasting on a daily basis. We are notorious of not taking full advantage of our skills and talents, and most of us cruise through life without any clear-cut goals and/or a roadmap to succeed.

Becoming Financially Independent

Think about how much more easily we could accomplish our goals if we were financially independent. For example, if you're 35-years old, you should want and need to protect the 65-year-old you. That’s because 90 percent of people in their 60’s often don’t reach their goals.

It’s important to get motivated to change.

Sure, you can spend less to get there, and that's a great place to start, but that’s not really fun. And it has limitations. How about making more instead?

If you need to sell 30 percent more than you’re selling now to achieve that goal, do it! You’re never going to be the OUTSTANDING version of yourself if you simply coast along. Remember that the only way you are going to remove any self-doubt is with taking drastic action.

The 65-year-old you will thank you in the near future.
